Christmas Tree Garland

I love any excuse to display garland. Here is what I started first, before I made the bird.

I looked at many ideas online, and found the one I liked best at Sadie and Lance.
The garland was quite easy and did not use much fabric. I think I have half of the fat quarter left, so I will either incorporate it into the Christmas quilt I'm already making, or make some more birds.
Thanks for the club idea, Ruth, and thanks for inviting me, Val!

  1. Very pretty! These would be pretty on the Christmas tree as well.

  2. There is a link to Sadie and Lance, and you will find instructions there. I used what I had, ribbon, rather than bias tape. It's probably not as sturdy, but it's not going to be handled much.

  3. One more thing: I used the same fabric for front and back, since I will hang it in the serving window.

  4. I really like the other fabrics too, they go with it really well. Are they from your Christmas quilt? I hope I can see that someday soon.
